Topping out ceremony of the 13 thousand square metre warehouse already took place
All workers of our plant were invited to attend a year-end celebration held on 20 December. Hungarian rock veteran Nagy Feró turned the occasion into a memorable, exuberant party.
The birthday celebration in Budapest’s Hotel Kempinski was painstakingly prepared. The great day ought to be distinctively “Weinberg”. Apart from the befitting event venue Weinberg’s cordiality and hospitality was at its best, parading star guests, exquisite cheese and wines next to the hotel’s delicious dinner.
Part of our mission is to provide opportunities for tertiary students to complete their theoretical studies by practical experiences. To that end we entertain partnerships with a number of tertiary institutions. Again in 2019, Weinberg offered students from Budapest Technical University an insight into corporate life at their Sárospatak compound.
The tour started at the office building where PR and communications manager Péter Untener received guests. Soon they were taken to the production halls for a comprehensive presentation of equipment, machines and processes. We were glad to experience students, based on their theoretic knowledge, enquired about a fair number of relevant details related to an every-day production environment.
At Weinberg we used to hail the bounty of autumn upon our traditional wine harvest, held this year on the first October weekend.
Past a rather stormy night the day started with bright sunlight. After a cosy, abundant breakfast accompanied by life gypsy music the enthusiast harvesters got right into the substance of grape harvesting. Thanks to the many volunteers, the container quickly became full of grapes of the Hárslevelű variety. When by 1 pm the task was done the well-merited lunch was already been served.
Towards the end of the day many of us met again at the company wine cellar to enjoy a few glasses of wine and a dinner. The Weinberg grape harvest event once more provided an excellent experience to participants. We do hope soon we’ll be able to enjoy the liquefied result of that memorable day’s effort.
As reported earlier our Company was selected for the general execution of a 5,000 square metres production site of Spinto Hungária Ltd. When executing this compound with its state-of-the-art technology and demanding technical details we were able to rely on our ample experience with projects of a similar complexity, as well as on our team’s comprehensive professional know-how.
It has been the third time within two years we’ve been commissioned to execute a hall in the area operated Budapest Free Port Logistics Ltd. This River Danube port is part of one of Europe’s busiest inland waterway. This time Weinberg is building halls for MASPED Logistics Ltd, one of the biggest and oldest players of the Hungarian logistics market.
The 5,000 square-metre tooling plant of Spinto Hungária Ltd. has been completed. As a general contractor Weinberg ’93 Ltd. was responsible for execution of the production hall and reception buildings. The investment is worth almost 6 billion HUF (about 18.5 million €) and it will be an important link in the most up-to-date vehicle component supply chain.
Students at Sárospatak are already able to enjoy the new sporting complex of the Sárospatak Reformed College, Grammar School, Primary School and Dormitory. On 24 June the festive handover ceremony of the gymnasium realised grace to the donations of alumni took place.
